Electronic Bug Detection

The modern day society is now at such a technical and advanced level that even the smallest electronic devices the side of a matchbox, can leak and transmit sensitive information from a so called ‘secure’ Government building to a distance of 10klms, easily jeopardizing the safety of our National Security. Now not only in the Government sector is this a problem, but now more so the Corporate sector. There has been a significant increase in reports of critical and classified confidential corporate information being transmitted from a corporate building, directly to a competitors building and used for competitor gain.

ANSS is now called to perform Electronic Bug Detection services right across the corporate sector to increase the safety and security of Corporate sensitive material. Our Detection Teams are finding numerous Electronic devices on a weekly basis ranging from  Acoustic Bugs, Ultrasonic and VLF Bug’s, Optical Bugs and most common Wireless RF (Radio Frequency) Bugs transmitting unauthorised visual and audio signals from corporate establishments. The majority of these bugs we are finding can be easily purchased from an electronic hobby store for as little as $45.00, takes seconds to install by any untrained person and can transmit pictures over 5 kilometres away.

Uncovering Eavesdropping and Visual Devices is not a job for a general security company or the inexperienced, and it cannot be done quickly by some new advanced technology. It requires a thorough understanding of the scope of the threat as well as numerous electronic tests using sophisticated detection equipment. It also depends on meticulous physical searching of the suspected building or facility by trained security specialists who know exactly what to look for and where to search.

The technical procedures of a full bug-sweep are extremely extensive. They can include radio spectrum analysis, telephone line analysis, and various other tests using complex types of electronic equipment. When an inspection is performed, all transmission signals are searched, decrypted and investigated. We can also determine if your Wireless Computer system is being compromised and accessed offsite.

ANSS is able to perform Bug Detection Sweeps to limit the threat of Government and Corporate sensitive information being obtained by unauthorized persons or organisations. We can also provide Security Consulting and Security Assessments to assist in making all sensitive information more secure.
