National Threat Assessment Centre - NTAC

ANSS has a National Threat Assessment Centre which works in conjunction with the information provided by the Intelligence Division. The role of NTAC is to gather intelligence regarding operations which the Agency is involved in both nationally and internationally.  This includes operations involving Dignitary Protection, VIP Protection, National Security Operations, Maritime Operations, high risk facility security and covert operations such as Special Operations. The NTAC gathers all relevant intelligence concerning possible and potential threats involving these operations to counter act any possible risk of attack or incidents occurring.

The NTAC also puts together Threat and Risk Assessments concerning corporations operating overseas for their safety and security of their operations and personnel.

The NTAC what's more gathers and records information in regards to Australia’s National Security performing threat and vulnerability assessments concerning Australia’s National Security and the security of Critical Infrastructure. ANSS has performed several threat assessments concerning Australia’s water supplies, Power supplies, Gas pipelines, Gas refineries, Oil Refineries, securing of explosives on mine sites and the security of metrolitan and regional airports.
