ANSS Special Operations Unit (SOU) is utilised for circumstances where extraordinary or complex situations have arisen either in Australia or overseas. The ANSS SOU is recognised as being one of the most elite private Special Operations Units in the world.

This specialist unit is trained to engage in covert Special Operations both nationally and internationally such as

K & R (kidnap & ransom) Operations
Hostage Recovery & Negotiations
Border Security
National Security
High Risk Security Escorts (Bodyguards)
High Risk Dangerous Goods Escorts
High Risk Facility Security
High Risk Witness Protection & Relocation
Emergency Evacuations

ANSS Special Operations Units are also able to respond to critical incident security situations involving terrorist attacks, national disasters, natural or man made disasters as well as any major international catastrophe or emergency. ANSS also has a Crisis Management and Response team which is able to respond to major incidents such as engaging in covert hostage and kidnapping recovery operations, international security support, international advisory assistance, through to implementing international Emergency Evacuations in locating citizens, then bringing them home safely after an international disaster or crisis.

All international operations undertaken by the ANSS Special Operations Unit are treated as Classified and are considered Highly Confidential.
